1st International Conference of TCCB is a reponse in todays dynamic changing world to chalenges on how to converting biomass and wastes in a economicaly resonable way to usefule and valuable bioproducts and using energy in a efficient way in order to switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.
All kind of industrials sectors like: agriculture, chemical, steel production, pulp and paper, cement, public transport need new solutions involving innovative and efficient technologies for energy storage (green hydrogen production and ammonia production) which will generate alternative solutions for high CO2 emission conventional fuels.
We invite scientists and industrial experts involving engineers, economists, lawyers and local local authorities to meet together in the heart of Poland and cooperate together in order to find optimal solutions for worldwide problems. During TCCB conference participants will have possiblity of presenting their research results and industrial achivements in one of four topics related to above problems.
Thermochemical Conversion Techniques
We invite all researchers and experts in the field of drying pyrolysis, torrefaction, hydrothermal carbonization, gasification to send abstracts within the broad apsects of thermochemical conversion techniques.
In todays world we need alternatives solutions for replacing fossil fuels dependency in such as areas like: energy sector (CHP, power plants, redistributed energy systems), agriculture sector i salso looking for biosources solution which will help to replace fertilizers produce by using gas and other high CO2 emission substrates.
In this Module all subjects related to thermochemical conversion techniques are welcome including: original fundamental research problems, technological solutions, processes modeling, techno-economical assesments of valorization techniques and Life Cycle Assesment Analysis.
Hydrogen Technologies
In this Module scientists and specialist in the field of green hydrogen production, e-fuels production or green ammonia production are welcome to presents their achivements.
Green hydrogen is becoming key driver of industrial decarbonization of such as industrial sectors like: cement industry, steel production, public transport, energy sector, agriculture sector, aviation and many others.
All kind of hydrogen related apsects will be taking under consideration: technical and safety problems of using and producing hydrogen, green ammonia or e-fuels, economical analysis of building and operating infrstructure for hydrogen, green ammonia and/or e-fuels production, law nd regulations related to hydrogen, storage and dedicated materials for green hydrogen infrastructure, modeling the profitability of hydrogen production and saling models and many more related subjects will be considered.
Biomass Conditioning
There is a lot of preatreatment methods both mechanical like: extrusion, grinding, sieving, rinsing, chemical like: base and acid treatment and biological like: fermentation, dark fermentation.
Biomasses and wasts due to there variety of physico-chemical properties needs to be prepare in proper way before can be transform to the fuels or other usefule products.
Researchers and experts in the broad field of biomass conditioning will have occasion to presents their finindgs. We are inviting all kind of original and review works related to: biomass and waste conditioning, review works, type of technologies use in biomass conditioning, exploatation and maintanance problems related to above technologies, models of apparatus, techno-economical assesment of the installations for biomass conditioning.
Renewable Energy Sources and Circular Economy
Distributed energy systems which are using renewable energy, like for example wind and solar are neccesery to obtain Fit for 55 targets.
We are stronngly encourage You to presents the results of Your work in the area of: experimental research related to renewable energy sources uses for decreasing CO2 emission, results related to biomass for heat, wind, hydro, solar energy and polygenertion units, technologies which are combining above green energy sourceses, regulations in the are of green energy, circular economy, Life Cycle Assesments, modeling of producing heat and electrical energy from RES and many more.
All kind of original and review works will be taking under consideration.
The TCCB 2024 conference is organized by The Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering of the Lodz University of Technology and APS-Ekoinnowacje Sp. z o.o.
The TCCB 2024 conference will be held in the Senate Hall of the Alchemium of the Lodz University of Technology (ul. Stefana Żeromskiego 114, 90-543 Lodz), and its participants will be accommodated in the nearby Hampton by Hilton Hotel (ul. Piotrkowska 157, 90-440 Lodz)
